Ημιορεινός οικισμός (υψόμ. 310 μ., 610 κάτ.) στην πρώην επαρχία Παγγαίου του νομού Καβάλας. Βρίσκεται στο νοτιοδυτικό τμήμα του νομού, στην κοιλάδα του ποταμού Μαρμαρά, 36 χλμ. ΝΔ της Καβάλας. Υπάγεται διοικητικά στον δήμο Πιερέων. Έχει χαρακτηριστεί παραδοσιακός οικισμός.
